You have two options when purchasing sealed units from Flash Glass.
- Supply and fit – With this option we visit your home, measure the faulty units then supply and fit them. Ten year year guarantee.
- Supply only – (Cheaper Option) With this option you do the measuring and we will deliver the units to your home for you fit them. Five year guarantee because of the self fitting.
If you would like our surveyor to measure the glass units and then you fit them yourself there will be an extra cost to be agreed for that (cost dependent on property location).

Save energy and keep warmer. We could even replace your faulty double glazed units for triple glazed sealed units in the existing frames. Another option is to use a Plikington Soft Coat – Low E heat saving glass in the new sealed units so that can save you even more money on your gas or electric heating bills.
Sealed units can be made with energy saving features such as Warm Edge Spacer Bar and Argon Gas Filling to help keep the gas and electric bills down.

How can I get a quick price
If you call us now on 01209 630604 or complete the enquiry form we will answer your questions immediately. We can arrange for a surveyor to visit your home to calculate a price there and then. If you have a broken sealed unit or just want a price quickly we can even send a surveyor the same day to measure up.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept most types of credit and debit cards, bank tranfers, cheques (for deposits only) and still cash of course.

Payment terms when placing an order
When a consultant visits your home he will measure up and give you a price for the total job. If you decide to go ahead and place an order we will need 50% deposit paid at that stage. When the deposit has been paid we will visit again and measure up for the actual glass manufacturing sizes. Once that is complete we will immediately order the sealed units from the factory. When the sealed units are completed and arrive in our store we will require the remaining 50% balance to be paid. When that has been paid we will call to arrange a convenient day and time for the fitting work to be carried out.
What are your delivery and installation times
Glass sealed unit delivery periods depend on the type of units ordered and the time of year. There can be slight delays around Christmas, Easter and other bank holidays or when there is special glass ordered. Usually the supply and fitting of the sealed units can be completed within a month or so from the order date. When changing standard glass sealed units things can happen even quicker than that. If we are replacing broken glass we can usually get units even quicker. Should it be needed a boarding up service is available at an extra cost should.
Will there be a mess when the fitting is carried out.
The fitting of sealed units is fairly simple and mess free. The fitters will always use dust sheets if required. In some cases the windows are glazed from the outside so very little time is spent inside the house.
How long will the fitting take?
Fitting sealed units into UPVC windows is a fairy quick process so if we are fitting two or three windows it may only take an hour or so. Every case is different with the window sizes and accessibility etc. etc. so some jobs take longer than others. Replacing sealed units in older aluminum windows can take longer, sometimes significantly but we will always tell you the expected fitting time when you place the order.
Do the new sealed units have a guarantee

One of our consultants can be with you on the same day as your enquiry. They will inspect the faulty sealed units, check the sizes and the unit make up (glass types and thickness etc). You will then be given a cost to replace the faulty sealed units with the new ones and dispose of the old glass units. In most cases the actual glass survey can can carried out on the initial visit, should you want to speed things up.

The Glass Plant
Our glass supplier is a large family run business with over 30 years experience in the glass industry. They operate a major glass processing and manufacturing plant situated in the South West of England.
The products they produce for us are:-

All sealed units are manufactured in their state of the art factory which includes a fully automated glass cutting line, glass tempering furnace, glass cleaning machine and a high speed production line. They also specialises in the processing of architectural flat glass such as balustrades, mirrors, table tops etc.
They are even able to supply us single sheet glass and they also keep a stock of standard size horticultural glass.
This enables them to offer us very competative prices and a quick turnaround service which we then pass on to our customers.
The turnaround time from us placing an order with the plant until the job completion can be as quick as a couple of weeks depending on the makeup of the units. This delivery period may be extended by another week or so with more complicated glass types. Even so, this is still much quicker than most other companies.
